Andre Galvao is known as one of the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners of his generation. He has amassed gold medals at every belt in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Championships and also holds gold medals in nearly every national and international Jiu Jitsu tournament. Most recently, Galvao defeated Pablo Popovitch to become the ADCC 2011 Absolute World Champion.
Galvao is a black belt student under Fernando "Terere" Augusto, arguably one of the greatest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu middle weight competitors of all time.
