We now have about 160 members, all interacting and sharing their information, events and wisdom. Hi, my name is Virginia Ede, and of all the proficiencies that I am dedicated to in my work, Bowtech® Bowen Therapy for People, Pets and Horses is what I am the most sincerely passionate about.

Since most of you are familiar with massage and how wonderful you feel after a massage I thought I might go into a little more detail as to what is actually happening to the body physiologically during a massage and WHY massage of all kinds is beneficial.
Firstly, the healing power of Touch cannot be over emphasised. Whether it be a massage, a hug from a loved one, an empathetic hand hold or a rumble with your grandchild, touch is necessary for all of us; our bodies respond beautifully to it.
Most of you know from experience that massage relaxes muscle, helps keep muscle supple, increases joint flexibility and reduces pain. At a chemical level during massage the body releases endorphin's, the body's natural 'feel good' chemical. The release of endorphin's reduces stress and anxiety (attributable for approx 90% of all illness and disease), boosts the immune system (helping to eradicate disease and cancer cells), helps relieve pain and brings a sense of calm to the body. The result is that heart rate and breathing slows down; and circulation improves sending nutrients and oxygenated blood to tissues and cells. The flow of lymph increases, encouraging the body to rid itself of toxins and wastes. When this happens our bodies have the chance to work at optimum levels, aiding in digestion, respiration, elimination, cell repair and cell renewal.
Massage is no longer considered just a luxury or a treat. Massage is Body Maintenance and regular massage will keep your muscles strong and supple and increase flexibility in the joints. Massage is also a wonderful tool to enable one to be completely present in the moment, completely surrendering to the blissful state of relaxation and forgetting all your worldly dramas for a while. Massage is a great way for newcomers to meditation, encouraging self awareness and inner silence.
Interesting facts:
* Premature babies given nurturing touch and massage gain weight much faster than those who are not.
* Many hospitals incorporate massage to aid in pre operative patients and post operative care.
* Even a light massage can benefit people in hospices and it often seems that it is not the style of massage that is relevant, rather the simple association of touch in a loving, caring way.
* Deepak Chopra, in his book Quantum Healing, tells how a small reassuring squeeze to a patients hand during surgery registers positvely on heart and brain monitors, even though they are anaesthetised.
Massage is suitable and beneficial to all ages and can be modified for children and the elderly.

Reflections On Abundance Versus Poverty Consciousness
Poverty consciousness is an entrapment and can cause us a lot of difficulties - however upon deeper analysis and reflection the entrapment is illusory. Understanding the illusion brings about the experience of abundance.
Poverty consciousness is perpetuated by projecting feelings of lack and not having sufficient abundance outwards which then contributes to the formation of our reality. As we create our reality though thoughts - thoughts of lack will produce experiences that reflect that.
Usually any fear of not having enough money has no relation to the moment. For example in a few days time we wish to do something particular - maybe already planned it - and we don't have the money for it right now. We then worry and project this scenario into the future - creating that very sense of lack we are striving to avoid.
It is not possible to not have enough money in any given moment. All fears are related to a previous memory or a future expectation. How do you know the next moment will not be different ? Anything can happen and will do if you allow it to. By the time you have even conceived the moment where you thought you didn't have enough it has already passed and so attaching to any sense of perceived lack in that moment is pointless. The moment has passed to memory. The next moment is now. Having let go of the contrived perceptions of past moments we are free for new moments to be.
Think back to all the times when you thought you didn't have enough money. Analyse them and break then down into separate moments if you can. How many of those times on reflection do you realise you did have enough? The feelings of discomfort you had - had nothing whatsoever to do with those moments - it was a projected worry into the future. When that future came maybe you then were provided for. If you are still here then you had enough.
In the moment there is no attachment to money - perhaps you have $20 or $2000. In that moment what does that matter - by the time you decide to do anything with whatever you have the present moment is gone. Its gone before you even conceptualised any kind of worry. By the time you are aware of any fear it is a new moment. On one level money is real - yes there are pieces of paper that buy things - but on another level - see it as illusory. Money is just pieces of paper with arbitary numbers written on them. The value of the note is contrived and has little to do with the value of the actual paper. Who decided this value ? A bank. So an institution printed lots of numbers on pieces of paper and called it money.
If we attach ourselves to how many of these pieces of paper we have we will miss the real abundance which lies when attachment to those numbers is gone. Dump any conditioning - be okay with having a few pieces of this paper. What right does a bank have to measure your worth based on how many pieces of their paper you have ? For as long as you measure yourself based on the number of pieces of bank paper you have you are still enslaved. The banks did this for this very reason - make their own paper notes and print numbers on the money according to their guidelines. Then they shift the interest rates and everything else to manipulate the flow of money in the system in their favour. You have to be enslaved for the system to work in their favour otherwise money would gravitate back toward the individuals !
When you really recognise this illusion and projection of a false sense of worth onto our being then we find the real abundance which stems from the power within. See beyond the paper - what else do you have ? Where are you ? In a tropical land ? A beach? See what other abundances are there. Really you are everything and you have everything. If you have the illusion of not having something its not something you need anyway!
Never think what cant I do. Do what you can with whatever money you have. Be creative. Do things differently. Try giving some away or spending some and appreciate yourself for doing so. See money coming in and going out. It happens to us all. Be okay with the flow. If its not flowing in - are you allowing it ? What is your expectation? Appreciation of ourselves and the non-monetary abundances opens us up on a deeper level and then money naturally comes to us.
The passages from poverty consciousness into abundance cause much difficulty for many people today and these passages call for us to learn the lessons of trust, acceptance, self surrender and the embodiment of love.
For the passages reflect where we are not in alignment with Higher Purpose or Love. For as long as we resist the Divine Plan and attempt to impose our own ego based agendas onto our lives we will undoutably continue to meet resistance, fear, closed doors and the illusory perception of poverty consciousness .
What is happening at this time is a massive shift of the balance of power on a global level. Economically the bankers and the like have held the monetary energy in our society for a long time. Though they have monetary abundance they have not embodied love - they have simply mastered how to feed on the fearful and the gullible. Now as so many of us are beginning to awaken to a new consciousness their power is weakening and so the balance of wealth is beginning to shift toward the common people. The challenges we face are tests. For if we were simply to receive lots of monetary wealth whilst the banks collapse without having learned humility, love and other human values then we would simply enact revenge and control them back ! This would then perpetuate a power struggle which would not help humanity.
Hence before we receive our promised abundances (...and the meek shall inherit the Earth...) we must undergo the purification of character. Learning how to love and how to trust is all part of the great plan so that we will not use abundance to exploit another. Being taken though the passages where one has the experience of having little and being in need breaks the attachment to money and wealth and we develop the appreciation for the non monetary abundances. If we are to receive the shift of abundance from the banking system we must have learned humility for otherwise such abundance will bring power that will then corrupt us. Power in itself means nothing unless it can be harnessed for the good of the collective.
So when we appear to be meeting financial blockages we must be in a place of total trust. If instead we react with negativity and resistance we simply prolong the passages. Learning how to appreciate and to say thank you (thank you Dad for drumming it into me as a kid to say thank you.. you had a good point...). Learninh how to respect, how to ask whilst respecting free will and learning how to receive - all these are the lessons now at work. All these things are learned in the heart. Abundance is an outward manifestation of apprecaition and love so naturally it will increase as we enter our hearts. We must also have compassion for as the banking system collapses some of those involved in the exploitation of humanity will suffer greatly and will experience great need. The development of love makes us strong which will be needed when the old structures finally collapse releasing chaotic energies into the collective.
Mastering the art of attracting abundance then is about coming into alignment with the heart, releasing the old karmas and the learning of love and appreciation. The final rewards for these passages of transformation are large. The collapse of the banking system will free up an amount of energy that has the potential to raise many peoples abundance levels by a factor of 10 or even 20 without even factoring in the massive inheritances as those who had held to fear leave the Earth in larger numbers through death. It is likely that the resources of entire cities and countries will become accessible those who survive the transitions. Then when one factors in the values of sharing and cooperation that will undoubtably follow it will soon become clear that those who learn the lessons of love will have everything on every level they could possibly want and more.
Learning how to love and be in the heart (and receive the subsequent abundances) is thus about moving away from fear. Do it with all your conscious effort and you will succeed. Draw on all the tools available - ask your guides for healing - ask for guidance - look around at what you have , you have all you need in the present to help you (logically its not possible not to or one would become eternally stuck ! ) - work with the love and forgiveness, let go of the anger and ill will that erodes our wellbeing and manisfests outwardly as unfavourable karma. Strive to love everyone and hold nothing against anyone no matter what they are doing or have done. Then just maintain your course until you make it to the other shores where there is no fear, there is only love, and there is only abundance.

Add Videos From YouTube, Hulu, Vimeo or Another Service
You can add video to your profile page, blog, comments, interest groups etc if you have an embed code. You get this from you tube or any of the online video applications as above. You copy and paste the membed code into the dialogue box when you add a video.
Step by Step:
1. If you are starting from scratch, record your video and then upload it to youtube or similar. 2. Click on the "Add Video" button on every page of theinteractive site, down the right hand side wher eyou see all the videos. Alternatively, hover your cursor over the "interest" menu and click on videos, where you will see all videos that have been added to spiritual connections website, and click on "add a video". 3. Pick up the embed code (sitting on the video display on youtube) and copy it, paste it into the section where it says: "" Click done.
To add your video into a text box such as discussion, comment, blog or profile page text box, simply edit the box, then click on the media icon (looks like a film reel) and then paste int he embed code.

Feng Shui will support your vision. How to support a 21st Century vision with an ancient principle. What is most important to understand is that a principle is only a principle? However, where there is no vision, a principle is of no use. So what does this translate to in common language? Let as first clarify what a vision is and how it relates to Feng Shui. A vision is seeing what you want in the form of a picture. How real this vision is depends on how alive the picture is. The picture becomes the vision when colours, sound, feelings, physical sensations accompany it and sometimes taste.
Now you might say what has Feng Shui to do with my vision? Through the principles of Feng Shui one can start the creative process towards the vision. An Architect when creating a bigger project will not go out and start building, he/she will make a plan, a model and only when he/she is satisfied with the model (vision) he/she will action the actual building. Now I ask you, is this the way most of us create their life? I would say definitely not. So how can we create our life using the principles of Feng Shui? As a Feng Shui consultant and teacher one of the first questions I ask a client or student is - what benefit do you expect from this consultation or course?
Here are some of the answers: I would like more money I want to change my job but I don't know what work I wont. I would like to have a relationship (have a boyfriend/girlfriend, getting married or improve my marriage) I would like to have a better relationship with my parents, siblings or children. I would like to have more friends. I would like to loose weight and/or be healthier. I would like my children to do better at school. And on goes the list.
Looking at this list all these statements have one thing in common, every person wanted to have an improvement in life, but had only a vague idea of what they actual wanted to achieve. With these vague ideas a Feng Shui Consultant/teacher starts to analyze a client's/student's life and by questioning and prompting helping the client/student to create a vision and then the environment to support this vision. Message from the Artist: I have been edging out into the world for quite a while with lots of encouragement from good friends and a great deal of self work, I finally feel ready to fully share the gifts I have come here with.
After completing my 2nd commissioned, channelled oil painting and loving every moment of the journey I realised these paintings are part of my purpose and are very important tools in assisting their owners to ground their beautiful, soul self in these amazing times.
Testimonial: I asked Zoe to paint me a personailsed painting where she tunes into my essence and brings something intuitively through. It was fun knowing that she was painting it for me without knowing what I was going to receive! I trusted that the image and the timing was going to be just right. When I received this beautiful piece of healing artwork a couple of weeks ago I was thrilled with the colours and images, incorporating symbols she knows to be special to me such as the white peacock and white horses, animals I am inspired to paint a fair bit my self. I knew exactly where I needed to hang it, almost as if the space was calling and in fact the painting who's place it took on my bedroom wall had been feeling like it needed to move for a while. I noticed over the next few days, in my self healing, resourcing time, I didn't want to do my usual thing and felt a need to lay on my bed...it took me few minutes to realise that I had needed to be under Zoe's painting to absorb its energies...she had tuned in to my essence so perfectly that being near it connected me to my own inner frequency. Transcending the old paradigms

In my 20 years of Spiritual practice I have been through the 'mill' of every modality, technique, master, dimension, Beings, channellings,meditation and the multitude of spiritual messages that guide each soul into its transitional journey of awakening to the 'truth'. All of these experiences in and of themselves are a 'truth' at each level of how the mind needs to communicate and translate the message of freedom and liberation. After these many years of my own deepening transition of consciousness I finally came to a place of total rest and 'stopping' the need for theories , healing and/or awareness techniques and philosophies. This place transcended every single direction I have ever stepped and was the resting place of the one pure truth that I had been reaching for over all these years. In hindsight I can still see where my 'spiritual ego' was in belief that 'this is it' this must be enlightenment... because each step took me closer to a purer truth of consciousness each time. Little did I realise that was was REAL was NOTHING like all the experiences of the past. Yet, each one was pointing to the truth , breaking down the layers , and disolving all fears of separation and the illusion. The One Truth - transcends all doing, all manifestation , all laws of attraction , all masters, dimensions and techniques. This was quite daunting for a while because it meant having to let go and give up so much 'more of the illusion' - the spiritual illusion, the continuing upward spiral of transcendence that still requires identifications , visualisations , imagery and belief systems. All these layers still continuing to be 'ídentified' with the way the mind needs to hear and translate the 'truth' of universal consciousness. And in the place of final resting, in true self - realisation, all was exposed. Everything I 'thought' was it , everything that was giving me that 'taste' to keep on moving towards to experience more .... was already ,always here. IT was never any where to be found, I really didnt need to look for it in the first place....and everything that I had done over these 20 years was actually a distraction created by the trickery of the 'spiritual ego' to stop me from KNOWING this truth. Now, thats BIG! All that money , all those books , all that reading, all those workshops ALL of it ! could have been avoided ? - In all perfection of the evolution of universal consciousness , the journey has led to here. Today the message of cutting edge, modern day, single moment direct awakening is what I come to present and to give as an invitation to those who are ready to 'stop' and know the direct truth NOW , in this very present moment of awareness. Yes, this may be challenging and hard to swallow because of ALL that you have been 'told' in the past, but , this IS true freedom and liberation.
When we practice the awareness of the Presence we tend to naturally extend more loving-kindness, reverence, respect, generosity and selflessness to others. Mindfully living in the Presence in the present moment can change our experience of life in a heartbeat. Living consciously, connected to the whole of Life changes how we see ourselves and our world--it makes the planet a better place because it makes us better people. Our natural state is Presence Awareness. It is the only reality and the very basis of our existence Once seen as illusory, the false "self-centre," or human-made reference point, begins to collapse and fade, while the natural state, a state of wholeness and oneness with all that is ,remains. Awareness is Who or What You Really Are and Awareness is What Everything Essentially Is. In other words, all worlds of form (on physical and subtle levels) are the expression of formless Awareness. All changing "things" are manifestations of the unchanging No-Thing (the transcendent Awareness/Spirit/God). One cannot know, perceive, find or grasp Awareness as an object of experience, since Awareness is fundamentally not an object. Rather, it is the eternal Subject, Silence, Stillness (one might even say: Awareness is THIS which subsumes and transcends the subject-object split). Therefore, one can only BE Awareness, abide as THIS Awareness, remain as THIS, operate from THIS, flourish as THIS, shine as THIS Awareness. Anything else ... is a distraction?
