Folk Sessions Radio Show:
Concert Caps 7 Great Years on KJZA!
Folk Sessions Concert
On Saturday, September 11, at 7pm
The Folk Sessions and producer/host Tom Agostino celebrate seven years of broadcasting music of the people, by the people and for the people on the K-JAZZ Radio Network.

This celebration will take place in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Highlands Center for Natural History's amphitheater featuring many of the Folk Sessions favorite artists. These include:

Three-Legged Dog is a trio of Phoenix-based multi-instrumentalists who have fun playing a variety of old-time, early country, bluegrass, gospel and blues - Americana, or roots music - on guitar, banjo, mandolin, Dobro, bass, cello, accordion and fiddle.

Joining them on the bill are Dave Baumann and Barbara Heber, from  the "Close to Home" String Band, Prescott's Dennis Garvey and Soul Creek and the Folk Sessions Poet Laureate Layne Longfellow among others.

Over 250 musicians, many of them local, have appeared on the radio program or performed on the bill at one of their live concerts.

Looking forward, The Folk Sessions will be presenting two concerts as part of the new season at Prescott Fine Arts Association, with "An Arizona Cowboy Christmas" concert in December, and a Folk Summit with Steve Gillette & Cyndi Mangsen and Jack Williams in March. The Folk Sessions can also now also be heard on the internet at AMAZradio.com

Come on out and enjoy a beautiful summer evening of music with these truly fine musicians at the beautiful Highlands Center for Natural History, an environmental education organization, which features quality outdoor science education, reaching over 10,000 children and adults each year.
