Prescott Film Festival
is Ready For Its Close-Up, Mr. DeMille
FilmFestival

film setSeventeen filmmakers, 4 actors and one actor's mom are scheduled to appear in Prescott with their films at the Prescott Film Festival, August 6, 7 & 8th!

Guest Filmmakers will all have short Question and Answer sessions following the screening of their films. Films screen all day Friday at the Elks Opera House & Theatre, all day Saturday at Hendrix Auditorium and then back to The Elks all day Sunday!

Additionally, on Friday Night the festival will be at the Yavapai College Performance Hall with a slate of Native American Films, plus a short film shot in Prescott by local filmmaker Ken Gregg.

Saturday night is a very special event with the screening of
"Blood into Wine" at the Yavapai College Performance Hall. The hilarious documentary is about Maynard James Keenan's vineyard, Arizona Stronghold, in Jerome. Keenan paired with Prescott College graduate Eric Glomski to start the vineyard, and local radio personality Andrew Johnson-Schmit, who helped build the vineyard, will be the MC at the event.

Before the film there are a very limited number of tickets available for a wine tasting of Arizona Stronghold wines. Special guests from the film are scheduled to attend.

The Opening Night Film at The Elks is the Caper Adventure
"The Red Machine," with producers/directors Stephanie Argy and Alec Boehm, and actors Donal Thoms-Cappello, Josiah Lee, Lee Perkins, (and his mom!) scheduled to attend.

Right after the Opening Night Film, (and still at The Elks) will be the action thriller KREWS. Director Hilbert Hakim and Producer Brian Hempstead are scheduled to attend. KREWS is a "don't miss" film staring Brian Geraghty from the Academy Award ® winning film "Hurt Locker."

Other films with guest filmmakers:
The Writer/Director/Star of the romantic comedy My Movie Girl, Adam Bronstein, Director/Star of "The Scenesters" Todd Berger, along with his Director of Photography (and wife!) Helena Wei
Producer (and former model and actress) Kim Waltrip and Executive Producer James Casey from the heartwarming family comedy/drama, "Expecting Mary." ("Expecting Mary" stars: Elliott Gould, Linda Gray, Lainie Kazan, Cloris Leachman, Della Reese, Olesya Rulin, Cybill Shepherd, Gene Simmons (from the rock band KISS) Fred Willard and more!) It is the first film of the festival, screening at The Elks!

Writer/Director Jeanne Scott and Producer Devin Scott from the WWII era short documentary "She Wore Silver Wings,"
Writer/Director/Actor David Bertelsen and Actor Brian Oblak from
"Poppies: Odyssey of an Opium Eater" (based on the book by the same name, and a true story.)

Two local films and filmmakers will be at the festival: "Resuscitate" from Producer/Director Ken Gregg and "A Blue Uncertain Buzz" from Writer/Director Maureen Eich VanWalleghan.
