The Start of a New Year!
This is my favorite holiday. It's a time of reflection, resolutions, goal setting and new beginnings.
Brown and DeLine's focus for the New Year is "Beauty, inside and out!"
We have some very exciting events planned this year to complement this theme.
I am excited to announce that Melissa Gerharter, MS, RD is joining our staff. Melissa will be facilitating biweekly seminars at Brown and DeLine. She will focus on topics we all wonder about but never knew who to ask.
The staff is attending a 2 day advanced color and cutting class this month at TNG Worldwide in Farmington. We will be bringing back the latest trends from Italy to share with you.
I have recently discovered we have a strong team of 5K runners. You can look for us or join us this spring as we put some road miles toward our favorite charities.
Last but not least, we will be celebrating our first Super Sunday on February 7th. I can't believe it, but Brown and DeLine is celebrating our 5th anniversary on Jackson Rd and 15 years of business in Washtenaw County! Join us for this celebration as we extend our gratitude to you.

Ashley Killgrove
Ashley Killgrove has worked at Brown and DeLine for 2 years as a Salon Coordinator. She has proven to be a professional, talented, motivated individual. She is a graduate of Schoolcraft College and aspires to become a cosmetologist and salon owner. Her most recent accomplishment is that she worked as a make-up artist on the set of the "Glory of Christmas" a huge production put on at Northridge Church in Plymouth, Michigan.
Her sparkling personality and her colorful sense of fashion make her a unique and valuable part of my front desk team. |

Welcome, Melissa Gerharter
Working out has been a part of my life for 16 years.
I swear I have done EVERYTHING!
People ask me, "How do you get out of bed at 4 a.m. to workout? Don't you just want to hit the snooze and say to hell with it?"
My response is, " Yeah, every morning it would be so easy to just turn over and hit the snooze button, but I guarantee that the rest of the day the lack of energy felt from missing that workout isn't worth the extra hour of sleep."
Fitness became a lifestyle change for me 16 years ago when I lost 40 lbs. It helped me lose the weight and maintain a weight that is a healthy range for me. Today, I can't imagine my life without it. My training philosophy is to push people to their fullest potential even when that potential is unrecognizable to the client.
Work hard, play hard.
I feel very strongly that fitness is 70% nutrition, 30% training. Being smart about fueling your body could be the change you need to get to your desired goal.
I want you to focus on what you can eat, not what you can't.
It isn't about dieting but about achieving a healthy lifestyle.
