This class is for children ages 5-9 and while the class will delve into the silliness of Dr. Seuss and all of his characters, we will also be focusing on storytelling and its structure.
The children will build confidence in their creativity through character development and learn how to make educated choices when creating their characters. For example: Would "Horton the Elephant" move fast or slow? Why do you think that is? What is Horton feeling in this scene? The class will also include Dr. Seuss-themed theatre games and the final class will be a performance of The Lorax that family and friends are welcome to attend.
Also look out for more information on her Winter class called, Improvisation for Youth Mondays (5-6:30) at the Aurora Central Library Studio from Jan. 14th- Feb. 11th.
