What's Happenin'?! - August 2012

 Greetings!

The atmosphere in Aurora has changed significantly in the past few   weeks. On the morning after the shooting we checked on the safety of all of our Fox family. Everyone in our little clan is safe. Others are not.

On that morning, the show went on. The audiences came, City Logo with Heartand have kept coming. Now more than ever people want to gather together. As artists we believe it is our responsibility to provide that opportunity; it is our responsibility to tell a story, to reflect and comment in grand ways on the human condition and, more intimately, on people like us.

Gather around to hear our stories - good and evil, from grand tragedies to the simple pleasures of everyday life. We are here.

Summer 2012 Wrap-Up

What a terrific summer it has been!  We are so proud of the work our young actors do each year. And the public can't get enough. Between Charlotte's Web and The Pirate Show

The Pirate Show

our Little Foxes performed for over 5,000 youth and adults, many of whom had not experienced live theatre prior to this summer. These shows are always a bright spot between our mainstage seasons.

On July 11, 2012,the school aged students at Parker Learning Center in Aurora attended The Pirate Show. They sent individual "Thank You" cards letting the cast and crew know they had an excellent time. The cover letter said, "Please continue to work at being outstanding actors and actresses. I expect we will hear great things about all of you." We think so too!

Additionally, we taught 8 Summer Camps (with performances for friends an

Broadway Bound Summer Camp

family on the last day of camp), hosted 4 large behind-the-scenes theatre  tours, provided outreach programs for 190 COMPASS students, participated in the Aurora Public Library's Summer Reading Kick-Off party, and held two fundraisers to benefit the Education Program.

With Fall fast approaching, take a minute to peruse our schedule of after-school theatre education opportunities. We are taking advance registrations at this time. We'd love to have your kids come play with us!
