The Pointer-Capper machine is designed to simultaneously finish both
ends of a fence post; milling a point on one end and a chamfer on the
other end. The standard machine will accommodate post diameters in the
range of 2 to 8 inches and post lengths in the range of 8 to 10 feet.
Special extended length versions of the machine are available, which
will allow post lengths of 16 feet or more to be accommodated without
difficulty.
An infeed section (optional) is available which provides the ability
to cut each post to a precise length prior to the pointing and capping
operation. This function is provided through use of (2) trim saws,
combined with a variable speed chain to propel the posts through the
saws.
Specifically designed electrical and hydraulic systems provide fully
automatic operation of the machine's functions. An operator controlled
pedestal contains all controls necessary for machine operation in a
single location.
Resizing of the Pointer-Capper machine for varying post lengths
(within it's design capacity) is accomplished hydraulically, minimizing
both operator effort as well as resizing time.
Now Available.....Based on customer feeback, Roundwood Systems now also has a more economical manual and semi-automatic version of the pointer-capper machine. Please
