CCEDC staff is meeting with local small businesses as part of our Business Expansion And Retention (BEAR) Program. This program was developed with the assistance of USDA Rural Development through a Rural Business Enterprise Grant.
The program's mission is to meet with small businesses, discuss their needs and goals and how CCEDC may be able to assist them.

The Gillette College invites you to their 6th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Tuesday, December 7th at the Donkey Creek Patio (behind the GC Main Building) Caroling and treats start at 5:30 p.m. followed by the Tree Lighting at 6:00 p.m. Ornament sales during the festivities will support ABATE Toys for Children Charity. |

In October 2010, Robert Grant joined Rail Link, Inc. in Gillette as the new Business Development and Marketing Manager. Rail Link Inc., a CCEDC Investor, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Genesee & Wyoming.
Robert is a longtime resident of Gillette and an active member of the community serving on boards and engaging in local activities. Robert has worked in many leadership and management roles both in the rail and mining industries.
Most recently he has worked for Peabody in the Gillette area and has also worked for both major railroads servicing the Powder River Basin, UP and BNSF. Robert says" I am excited to have returned to the rail industry and look forward to developing new relationships along the way."

Wyoming adds 3,000 jobs in October 2010.
The Research & Planning section of the Wyoming Department of Employment reported today that total nonfarm employment
in the state increased by 3,000 jobs (1.1%) from October 2009 to October 2010. The state's seasonally adjusted
unemployment rate decreased very slightly from 6.8% in September to 6.7% in October and was lower than its
October 2009 level of 7.4%. Wyoming's unemployment rate has remained between 6.7% and 6.8% in each of the
past five months.
