Don't forget to vote November 2nd!

CCEDC held its annual banquet on Monday, October 18th.  This year CCEDC celebrated 25 years of economic development in Campbell County with U.S. Senator Mike Enzi as keynote speaker.  The Senator spoke of his time as mayor of Campbell County and all the changes that have occurred over the last 25 years.  His stories included the hiring of the first City Planner Joe Racine, and trying to prepare for the extreme population growth that was about to happen at the time.

We would like to thank everyone who was able to attend, if you were unable to make the banquet, we showed a wonderful short movie to chronicle the last 25 years of economic development.   Click here  to view the video; it may bring back memories!

BKS Environmental Associates, sponsored a CCEDC POWER FORUM Luncheon.    Krista Treide, a Gillette native and former basketball standout at Campbell County High School and the University of Wyoming, was the keynote speaker.  Treide still holds a Division I record in three-point scoring percentage.  She was also a Western Athletic Conference All-Conference honorable selection.

Treide started her successful career in Boston with Reebok, eventually joining Nike who convinced her to relocate to their regional offices in Hong Kong to help build their 14-country Asia Pacific region.  During that time, she was instrumental as catalyst to explore and eventually launch Nike's successful fashion business.  Now an entrepreneur, Treide resides in Santa Barbara, California where she operates her philanthrocapitalistic brand building company, Modus.

Her brand building efforts canvas twenty different global companies to date ranging from start-up to over $13 Billion.  Treide continues to channel that same competitive spirit and has amassed an outstanding resume of accomplishments with companies such as Nike, Diesel, Reebok, UGG Australia, Speedo, Tsubo amongst many others.

At the POWER FORUM Treide discussed her adventures in the corporate world and shared her passion, expertise and experiences in building some of this generation's most formidable brands to an audience comprised of local entrepreneurs, CCEDC investors, high school seniors, and other representatives from local companies
