UW visits Gillette
Campbell County Economic Development Corporation organized a meeting between community leaders and the University of Wyoming to discuss opportunities for Campbell County's energy industries. UW Vice President of Research and Economic Development Bill Gern and UW Director of the School of Energy Mark Northam talked about potential opportunities for low emission technology and coal gasification demonstration plants at mine locations. Export potential was also discussed, including India, China, and other countries in the Pacific Rim need for Powder River Basin coal.
The meeting was attended by City and County Elected Officials, Gillette College, the Wyoming Business Council and various energy industry representatives. The group agreed to meet on a semi-annual basis, in an effort to work more closely on these initiatives.

CCEDC Investor opens office in Gillette
CTA Architects Engineers celebrated their recent Grand Opening of their Gillette office. CTA's office is located at 204 ½ Gillette Avenue. Architect, Karl DeCock, AIA, LEED AP has been named the Regional Office Manager.
