In Their Own Words: Nepal Global Villagers Share Experiences Via Journal

Nepal Global Villagers

Sightseers.  We are sightseers - from Knoxville and Chapel Hill and Smyrna, Georgia.  Fourteen sightseers who dreamed of seeing the sights of Nepal halfway round the world.  But also dreamed of a fabulous sight - two Habitat for Humanity homes built by hand onsite in the province of Kavre - not far from Kathmandu.

Read the journal of these 14 sightseers to learn about the incredible experiences they shared together in Nepal.

The Year in Pictures: 2011 Homes Gallery

2012 House Gallery

What an exciting end to another fantastic year of building simple, decent and affordable homes in Knox County. In 2011 we dedicated a total of 26 new houses (all pictured in this gallery). In 2012 we will be blitzing our 450th house!

Thank you to all of our families and Covenant Partners who helped to make these new homes possible this year.

David Grueser, president of the University of Tennessee's Habitat for Humanity chapter, has made a valuable impact on the campus and in the Knoxville community. He is a junior, majoring in civil engineering, from Dyersburg, Tennessee.
