 Knoxville Habitat for Humanity built 7 houses in 7 days from the ground up April 9th - 16th, 2011. Thanks to our 13 Covenant Partners and more than 1,400 volunteers, all 7 houses were finished on time. Check out this cool time-lapse video of one of the houses going up during the course of 7 days. Thanks to The Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council at The University of Tennessee for funding this house and for bringing out the volunteers to build it!

Knoxville Habitat for Humanity's annual blitz builds are always an exciting time for the homeowners, volunteers and staff who work so hard during the week to build multiple houses in one week's time. The blitz build is also a great time for Habitat for Humanity to get visibilty in the community with media coverage of our efforts. The local media came out in full force throughout the week to cover the goings-on at the blitz site.  | Moll Anderson's Work with KHFH 'Inspires' Designer Donna Karan

Congratulations to KHFH Board Member Moll Anderson, who fashion designer Donna Karan has named to her "Women Who Inspire" philanthropic campaign for 2011.
Moll is one of a number of noted celebrities to be honored by Karan, including Demi Moore, Maria Shriver, Susan Sarandon, Nicole Kidman, and others.

 | KHFH and Lowe's Team Up for National Women Build Week

In the days leading up to Mother's Day on May 8, hundreds of female volunteers will pound nails and raise walls at Habitat for Humanity construction sites in all 50 states in recognition of National Women Build Week, April 30 - May 8.
Tomorrow, in Knoxville, female volunteers will come together to build a floor system for a new Knoxville Habitat for Humanity home at 2225 Virginia Ave., the future home of Donna Wilson.

 | New Crew Leader Orientation Set for June 11

Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is holding a crew leader orientation on Saturday, June 11th from 8 a.m. until approximately 11 a.m. Anyone who is interested in becoming a crew leader with us should plan to attend this very informative meeting.
Volunteer crew leaders are one of the most crucial volunteers we have working with us at Knoxville Habitat for Humanity. Crew leaders supervise volunteers on a specific task during a build and ensure the work is completed according to schedule.
