KHFH To Build 7 Houses in 7 Days April 9-16 in New Silver Leaf Subdivision

In just seven short days, from April 9th to the 16th, Knoxville Habitat for Humanity and more than a thousand volunteers will come together to build seven houses from the ground up and establish the beginning of Silver Leaf, Habitat for Humanity's third subdivision in Knox County.

KHFH Launches New Ad Campaign on Local Television Stations

By now you may have seen Knoxville Habitat for Humanity's new advertising campaign that is currently running on local television stations. There are three versions of the ad and each is built around the theme "I build because..." and encourages Habitat homeowners, volunteers and donors to share their personal reasons for "building" with Knoxville Habitat for Humanity.

KHFH Opens 23,000 Sq. Foot ReStore

Knoxville contractors and do-it-yourselfers have a new source for all things home improvement with the opening of Knoxville Habitat for Humanity's new ReStore, containing Knoxville's largest inventory of new and donated home improvement goods and appliances.

 

Knoxville Habitat for Humanity hosted a grand opening March 10th through the 12th at its new 23,000-square foot facility, located at 314 Merchants Drive in the Merchants Village Shopping Center next to Outback Steak House. The new location replaces the ReStore's former 4,000-square foot location on Washington Ave.

 

$2 Million in Gifts/Bequests
Directed to KHFH

Estate PlanningLast year, Knoxville Habitat for Humanity launched a campaign to encourage those who embrace our mission and ministry to consider including the organization in their estate plans.  To date, we have received notification that more than $ 2,000,000 in gifts and bequests have been directed to us through numerous wills and estate plans.

 

State of TN Offers Habitat Specialty License Plates for Pre-Order

Habitat License Plate Show your love of Habitat for Humanity by pre-ordering an official Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee specialty license plate. In order for the plates to be produced, we need to have 1,000 people pre-order a plate by June 2011. Help spread awareness of Habitat for Humanity while raising funds for Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee, a statewide organization that supports and promotes the 51 Habitat for Humanity affiliates throughout Tennessee, including KHFH.

 

Whirpool Tops List of Generous Organizations Who Donated Goods, Services to KHFH in 2010

Whirlpool Corporation, an international company which also operates a call center in Knoxville, shares Habitat for Humanity's belief that every family deserves a home, a safe place to put down roots and nurture a hopeful future. Since 1999, Whirlpool Corporation has contributed more than $34 million in donations and cash worldwide to support Habitat's mission to eliminate poverty housing.

 

Currently, Whirlpool donates a range and an ENERGY-Star qualified refrigerator to every new Habitat home built here in Knoxville and throughout  North America. By 2011, Whirlpool will support  every single Habitat home built anywhere in the world. Beyond simply being one of Habitat's leading global corporate partners, thousands of Whirlpool employees volunteer with Habitat every year.
