Nature News:

Great "Green" improvements for your home!
If you thought that making your home or business more energy and water efficient was too expensive - mPOWER Placer provides financing to make water and energy efficiency improvements as well as power generation improvements such as solar photovoltaic for property owners in Placer County. The mPOWER Placer project is a response to AB 811, a bill aimed at reducing green house gases and boosting the economy. The financed amount is amortized and the annual amount due is added to your property tax bill each year, until paid in full. If the property is sold, the unpaid amount stays on the property tax bill and the new owner assumes payment of the balance on the property tax bill each year. The money you save on water and energy could be more than enough to repay the additional amount on your property tax bill! July is UV Awareness month!
Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun causes sunburn and other health effects, including skin cancer and cataracts. Everyone should protect themselves from the sun, and some groups can be particularly susceptible to health effects from sun exposure, including kids, gardeners and older individuals.
