Nature News:
Improve Your Indoor Air Quality:
As the cold descends
and windows remain shut, chances are your indoor air quality suffers.
Fortunately, house plants naturally clean the air, thriving on toxins that can
make you sick. Peace lilies, bamboo, palm, English ivy, mums and gerbera
daisies are among the top air-purifying plants. Each plant can successfully
purify nine square feet of living space. When positioning plants, try to strike
a balance between light and ventilation. Plants' benefits to indoor air quality
may be reduced if they are set in a draft. Many do not need to be in direct
sunlight or near windows. Adapted from Your Naturally Healthy Home, by Alan Berman Nature Online:Did you know that Placer Nature Center is on FaceBook? Become a fan today! We are currently
