Fantastic new cottages coming in June!
A major redesign of four of our courtyard cottages is in hand, and following their introduction in mid-June will offer much more choice for families and groups of friends!!

The 'new' Crossley will sleep 10, Malbanc will sleep 8 and dine up to 16 and  Callander will sleep 4. Up to the minute kitchens and bathrooms and a complete makeover - the interiors will have a classic-contemporary feel with refreshing colours and stylish design.

Further details are on the website, and pictures will be added as they come available.
Going for Gold!!
Combermere Gree Tourism Gold AwardReally exciting news - Combermere Abbey has been awarded a Green Tourism Gold Award!!  It's the highest accolade we can achieve, reinforcing our commitment to protecting and enhancing our precious environment here as well as making our cottages as energy efficient as possible.

We are introducing some new ideas over the next few months. So when you come and visit us, you will find nature diaries in your cottages and fun wildlife quizzes for children, as well as Claire's daily wildlife board!
Cutting your Carbon Footprint!
24 months ago we promised to plant a tree in honour of each visit and wedding - and we have just planted over a hundred trees in a new dedicated woodland area!
Bluebells at Combermere Abbey
This lovely spot, awash with bluebells, and featuring a winding pathway and views of the lake on the woodland walk, is now home to a selection of oak, ash and cherry - so come back soon and see it for yourself!
Restoration rolls on...
The Library unfolds its secrets as we remove the panelling and uncover the centuries of history behind it. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity and our very own Time Team has discovered a 17th century fireplace, early timber framing which confirms the accuracy of an early print of the house by Buck, decorated timbers and a complete oak floor beneath the existing one with boards more than an inch thick and a foot wide!!

The challenges continue as we decide how to proceed with the repair - so watch this space or see for yourself on one of Linnie's famous Abbey tours.
Check out our blog....
