| 2012 iREAD Resource Guide Mailed on 16 Jan. |
For those who ordered the 2012 iREAD Resource Guide, it was mailed on Monday, 16 January 2012. Fulfillment of the incentive products will begin in late February, early March. When you receive the Resource Guide, you'll note that we continue working hard to improve it. This year we have expanded the Activities and Craft sections; and greatly increased the amount of original art in the Graphic section. In fact, there is so much more art we had to add another CD-ROM! We've also made organizational changes the we hope will make the Resource Guide easier to use. You'll see right away that sections are now divided with colorful tabs and keep an eye out for "Ant Flags" on the pages. These cross reference icons tell you where you can find additional materials within the Guide and on the discs. We would love to hear about reactions, please click here to send us an e-mail with your opinions about these changes. Thanks. |
| Submit Your 2013 iREAD Ideas! | The theme for the iREAD 2013 program is Have Book, Will Travel. Work has already begun on the 2013 iREAD Resource Guide, and we need all of your great ideas to share with other librarians around the world who use the iREAD Theme. Each idea submitted helps strengthen the resource guide for everyone. Use the form here to submit your theme related ideas. The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2012. Click here to submit your idea.

| Check Out These Fun Videos | The Joy of Books The video's creators spent many sleepless nights moving, stacking, and animating books at Type bookstore in Toronto (883 Queen Street West, (416) 366-8973). Everything you see here can be purchased at Type Books.
The Page Turner Joseph Herscher takes a sip of his coffee, pulling string thereby tipping paintings. Balls roll down paintings, lighting burner to boil water causing books to tip. Vase and computer get knocked off the table, releasing tape to open front page of newspaper.
