| Conference is just around the corner and we're looking forward to seeing you in Rosemont! Here are some tips and reminders to make your #ILAConf2011 experience a success.
Conference Tools - The ILA App is now available at http://ila.org/app! Download it to your smart phone to follow conference programs, find exhibitors, select local restaurants, and much more.
- The Conference Program Book is available on the ILA Web site. You can pick up a printed copy at registration.
- You can tweet and follow the conference backchannel at #ILAConf2011
- Conference signs will feature QR Codes to help you find speaker information.
New Fun Stuff - Attend the ILA Awards Luncheon at Noon on Tuesday, October 18. Remember, it's included in your registration!
- Stop by the Advocacy table in the registration area and let your voice be heard.
- Keep an eye open for the Roaming Trivia Team and win fabulous prizes by answering questions about ILA and libraries.
- Contribute to our Wall of Stars! Stop by the table in the registration area to let us know how you have been Bold Brilliant and Brave.
- Meet Illinois Authors on Tuesday, October 18. Attendance at the Cocktail Hour from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. is open to all attendees -- even if you're not registered for dinner.
- Join us for an informal discussion of Michael Cunningham's most recent book, By Nightfall, at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, in the ICE Bar at the InterContinental Hotel.
- Take advantage of the generosity of our local consultants on Wednesday, October 19. Visit the Consultants Clinic Web page for more information.
- Pick up a conference t-shirt for $15. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
- Attend the Retired Members Reception on Wednesday, October 19, in Room 1141 of the InterContinental Hotel.
Returning Favorites - Arriving on Monday night? Be sure to attend the Public Library Forum Reception in the Montrose Room of the InterContinental Hotel from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. Desserts and drinks will be available. All ILA Attendees are welcome to attend.
- Support the Sylvia Murphy Williams Scholarship Fund by purchasing a ticket for the annual teapot raffle.

| The ILA Career Clinic is Back

Looking for a job or seeking to polish your resume? The 2011 ILA Annual Conference will feature the second annual Career Clinic on Wednesday, October 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Thursday, October 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Candidates will receive free advice on how they can improve their resumes from librarians who have experience with the hiring process. Each session will be 25 minutes long.

| Show Off Your Stuff at ILA! Display Your Marketing Materials at the Inspiration Station
The Inspiration Station will be located in Aisle 1000 of the ILA Exhibit Hall and open during exhibit hours. The Inspiration Station is your one-stop destination to pick up and take home innovative marketing, promotional, and partnership materials from libraries across Illinois, available for all attendees to peruse and take home as they seek ideas for their own public relations efforts or programming. You don't have to be the marketing or PR person at your library to share/take materials-this is for anyone who does publicity or programs!
Materials may be dropped off at the Inspiration Station during exhibit hours.

| Go Green, Win Green | Calling all Illinois libraries -- would you like people in your community or school to have an opportunity to win $1,000? Would you like your library to have an opportunity to win an iPad2? Do you want to help the sharing of great environmental ideas? All these great elements converge in Go Green, Win Green, an Illinois Library Association contest and project. It's simple for all Illinois libraries to participate in the contest.
