| Join Green @ Your Illinois Library | This project involves libraries holding the conversations about sustainability in their communities, pursuing activities/goals that make sense to them and their respective communities and communicating impacts, small and large, back to the group. The project will kick off with a Friday, 22 October workshop at The Field Museum in Chicago. This compelling training starts at the Ancient Americas exhibit, includes lunch, small group instruction on Storytelling to Action and Building Green Partnerships and more. We are seeking participation from libraries throughout the state. Please visit for more information and to apply to be part of this workshop. This ILA project is in conjunction with the Field Museum's Environment, Culture, and Conservation staff and funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, State Energy Office.

What Is Social Media Now?, please click here.
| Among some of the interesting fact are the following: If Facebook were a country, it would be the third most populated in the world, ahead of the United States.
500 Billion. The number of minutes spent on Facebook per month. Last year, that number was a measly 150 Billion.
The amount of content 25 Billion -- (Web links, news stories, blog posts, notes, photos, etc.) shared each month on Facebook. That's more than than six times last year's volume.
4 Billion. The number of images hosted on Flickr. That's 13 times more than the Library of Congress.
