ILA President Gail Bush
It will be written that in the summer of 2010 the Illinois library community was facing a challenge unmatched in recent times.  What follows that statement is what needs to be determined in the coming year.  The Illinois library community has a strong history of leadership that sustains us as we plan to develop new models of library service.  We share a deep commitment to library cooperation and access to resources for all our residents; we also share the loss of many talented and dedicated colleagues from library systems around the state.  While the Illinois Library Association board of directors, committees, and forum members represent the library community, we invite you to share your own ideas and comments ([email protected]) as we move forward together.
