Social Media Cheat Sheet
|
How do you know which social media sites to use?
Of course... there is no single, magic or easy answer to that
question. It all depends on your goals, your overall marketing
strategy and your resources. It's not a cookie cutter
sort of thing.
However...there's nothing wrong with a little cheat sheet to help you determine which sites are best for:
- Customer communication
- Brand exposure
- Driving traffic to your site
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Which is why the cheat sheet created by CMO.com is so handy. It
ranks the most popular/used social media sites (from the biggies like
Facebook and Digg to the less talked about Reddit and del.icio.us) as
good, okay or bad for the four goals above.
You can download a much bigger, easier to read PDF version of it by clicking here. |

| Governor Releases Budget
|
Illinois Governor Pat Quinn released his proposed FY 2011 budget on Wednesday, 10 March. Later that day, Illinois Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White testified in support of his proposed FY 2011 budget in the Illinois House Appropriations General Services Committee. The Secretary testified that he was asking for a zero growth budget for fiscal year 2011.
The budget process, however, is just beginning. Now the debate moves to the Illinois General Assembly, where lawmakers will likely make changes to the budget before it is enacted. During last year's budget process, significant cuts were made from the governor's proposed budget.
ILA will provide more information when it is available.

In the News |
In the last ILA E-News, there was a misleading headline regarding the Arlington Heights Memorial Library. The story referred to the village cuts not library cuts. Please accept our apology for this error.
