HEADLINES
OSAP members support name change

As part of a rebranding campaign to increase awareness of OSAP throughout healthcare, the Board surveyed you, its members, on the advisability of a name change.

Your votes overwhelmingly indicated that a change was in order -- not to the OSAP acronym -- but to position the organization in a more preventive role.

However, many members were concerned that the name "Organization for Safety And Prevention" may be too broad and offered this alternative: "Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention". Same acronym but keeping the original name's "asepsis" to better identify OSAP's scope.

In its April 20 meeting, the Board of Directors voted to change the name to "Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention". The Board will continue to work on other elements of the rebranding campaign and will unveil all the changes at the OSAP Symposium June 10-13 in Tampa.

Select OSAP's future leadership

OSAP members are again encouraged to cast your vote - this time for three new Board Directors.  Tomorrow you will receive an email ballot that lists the candidates for the three openings requiring the vote of full membership.  Please play an active role in OSAP's future by helping select new Board members!
