MEASURE W  CAMPAIGN: THE TIME IS NOW!

Yes on W

We are just weeks away from June 5, election day.

Now is the time to help out with phone banking and precinct walking to make sure Measure W gets the necessary 2/3 yes vote. Voter turn out will be critical -- a neighboring district won their recent parcel tax by only one vote!

To do your part, please contact www.betterrwcschools.org.

Please support Measure W with your endorsement, time, and vote. We urge you to vote yes on W because Redwood City deserves great public schools!

BENEFIT FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE SUCCESS!

 Benefit for a Brighter Future

On May 4, 2012, more than 350 education and community leaders enjoyed a fun and inspirational evening and raised more than $118,000 to preserve critical programs for our deserving and hard-working students.

In addition to enjoying our Walking Talking schools and Jr. Patch Reporters, guests heard from three students about their experiences with programs funded by the RCEF.

Sequoia Senior Music Talk

Watch a Sequoia High School senior describe how the fundamentals he learned in Music for Learning at Taft and Instrumental Music at Kennedy helped him with his successful high school career.

THANK YOU TO...

Oracle

For the fourth year in a row, our good friends at Oracle are supporting our SMART innovation grants, this time with $25,000 for our 2012/13 SMART Technology Bonus grants.

Thanks to Oracle's support this past year, teachers at Orion received $10,000 toward their ground-breaking work using iPads for literacy instruction. We encourage all teachers to submit their proposals for innovative use of technology in the 2012/13 school year. Grants will be due in mid-September so teachers have all summer to plan. Stay tuned for more information about our upcoming SMART Technology grants at www.rcef.org/SMART.

Oracle has contributed a total of $90,000 to SMART grants since 2008, as well as more than $30,000 in other funding to the RCEF. Thank you Oracle!
