WHOLE FOODS MARKET 5% DAY SUCCESS
Whole Foods Market's 5% Day on September 14 brought us $4,963 in support of our Instrumental Music students! Plus we received an additional $2,062 in contributions to win our $10k music match.
A big thank you to those who shopped and helped staff the table, and to Jane Woodman and the Sequoia High School band -- the kids were great ambassadors for the music programs in both districts! Thanks also to Georgia Solkov Jack who found our $10k match donor and drove the Save Our School Music campaign to success! |

SUMMER MATH INSTITUTE DELIVERS RESULTS
In our third year of the district's Pre-Algebra Summer Math Institute and our first year of alumni entering high school, we are proud to report that 100% of entering 8th grade students who have participated in the program (summers of 2009 or 2010) are currently enrolled in Algebra I or greater. Of these students, 30% have been placed in Geometry (the math course that students take after Algebra I).
Thank you to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation for making this possible for our kids! |

GIVE AS YOU SHOP MERCHANTS
Give as You Crunch!

Do good while you snack at Milagros! Thanks to the generosity of Milagros Cantina, $1 of every bowl of chips sold goes to the RCEF!
These merchants also give us an automatic donation when you make a purchase:
Shop through our website at: Kepler's Books, and iTunes.
Shop in person at: Kepler's Books and be sure to mention the RCEF. Bring your reusable shopping bags to Key Market.
New to our program is Yang Orthodontics. This practice donates $150 to the RCEF for each new patient who mentions us when they set up a new patient exam and start treatment.
