5% WHOLE FOODS DAY SUPPORTS OUR MUSIC STUDENTS
Wednesday, October 14, 2011 All Day: 8 am to 10 pmRedwood City Whole Foods Market
9 am to 11 am - Stop by and meet local education leaders over coffee and pastry. Free Morning Makeovers for Mom and face painting and balloons for children.
4:30 pm to 6 pm - Enjoy musical entertainment by the Sequoia High School band, featuring some of our talented RCSD alumni. Pick up a roasted chicken family meal deal (while supplies last). Free face painting and balloons for children.
All proceeds go to support the middle school Instrumental Music program. |

GET READY FOR OKTOBER FUN!
Saturday, October 1, 2011 Port of Redwood City
8 am to 5 pm
Join us for this fun community celebration of the Port of Redwood City featuring live entertainment, boat tours, food & drink, arts & crafts, kid fun and more.

Courthouse Square, Redwood City OktobeRun: 8 am Oktoberfest: 10 am to 8 pm
OktobeRun is one of the first half marathons on the Peninsula in years. The course is flat, scenic, and mostly off-road, along beautiful San Francisco Bay. The run includes a 5k course for fun runners and walkers.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available, including the $100 family sponsorship that gets your family's name on the race t-shirt! More information at: www.oktoberun.com.
After the race, stay for a full day of food, drink, and live entertainment at the Peninsula Oktoberfest celebration.
Proceeds from PortFest, OktobeRun and Peninsula Oktoberfest benefit the RCEF.

New to our program is Yang Orthodontics. This practice donates $150 to the RCEF for each new patient who mentions us when they set up a new patient exam and start treatment.

The School Garden Grants Program is a collaboration between the Whole Kids Foundation, Whole Foods Market, and FoodCorps that provides grants of $2,000 to support school garden projects. More information.
