GIVING THANKS TO YOU
We at the RCEF are deeply grateful and give thanks this holiday for the many, many people who share their time, money, and passion with our students. We thank all our RCEF supporters -- school families, educators, local businesses, community members, and corporate and foundation partners -- all of whom believe our future lies in our children, and all of whom want a better, brighter future for us all.
|
WELCOME TO OUR NEW BOARD MEMBERS We are proud to introduce the newest members of our dedicated and hard-working Board of Directors: Tim Kreidler, Michelle Beatty, Zeke Mead, and Sheldon Chavon. We know they will make our organization even stronger and more effective in helping our students. We are still looking for volunteers to join us in raising funds to support our Redwood City students. Contact us at: info@rcef.org or visit rcef.org/volunteer.html for more information.

GIVE WHILE YOU SHOP AT WHOLE FOODS
Our local Whole Foods store has generously extended our turn as a designated recipient of its shopping bag donation program through the holiday season. Do something good for the environment and our students and remember to bring your own shopping bags to send an automatic contribution our way.
In addition, Whole Foods and Honey Bear Trees are partnering to donate proceeds from all of their Christmas tree sales to the RCEF at the Redwood City store only. There will be a special sustainable Christmas tree event in the Whole Foods parking lot on December 5, 2009, between 12 to 3pm, so be sure to drop by. |
|
REI GIVING TREE BENEFITS THE RCEF
We have been designated by our local REI store, at 1119 Industrial Road, as the sole recipient of funds raised through its 2009 Giving Tree. Donations will be targeted to supporting Outdoor Education.
We will also be staffing a gift-wrapping table at REI to raise funds. More details will be provided in our Holiday issue. We look forward to seeing you there.
