Greetings!
MB Motorsports & driver Jack Smith make history & win award at Kansas NASCAR CWTS Race!
When driver
Jack Smith crossed the starting line at the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 on Sunday,
he helped the MB Motorsports #63 Ford F-150 make history. MB Motorsports has
now raced in every season of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series since it's
inception in 1995, and is the only team to do so. The Mittler Bros. Machine & Tool F-150 qualified 30th, but wouldn't remain there for long.
Jack Smith spent the day battling hard, and worked his way up to 1st
place on lap 95, which he held onto for several laps. He would finish a very
respectable 14th, winning the O'Reilly Auto Parts "Hard Charger" Award for improving the most positions between qualifying & finishing. "I'm thankful Mike Mittler
gave me the chance to drive the #63 Mittler Bros Machine & Tool Ford F-150
again", said driver Jack Smith. "We
worked hard in practice to get the truck handling and it showed in our race
setup. It was a lot of fun to race with the veterans today, especially when we
led a few laps....it turned out to be a great day" Many stars have started their
NASCAR careers driving the MB Motorsports Ford F-150 Truck over the past 15
years, including reigning Daytona 500 Champion Jamie McMurray, Carl Edwards,
Regan Smith, Brad Keselowski, Justin Allgaier, the late Kenny Irwin Jr., and
the late Tony Roper. The finish was the second
best ever for MB Motorsports. "This run cements Kansas as our favorite track", says team
owner & crew chief Mike Mittler." "We've had our two best finishes here".
In 2002, a budding Carl Edwards piloted the MB Motorsports F-150 to an 8th
place finish in Kansas,
the team's best ever. "We are very appreciative for the years of support from
our dedicated volunteer crew and valued marketing partners."
The truck was ready to go when it hit the track, thanks to the Mittler Pull Down Rig. Check out the feature below.
