KDCU Awarded Five-Year Re-Accreditation
The Kansas Department of Credit Unions (KDCU) has been re-accredited to charter, examine, supervise and regulate the credit unions chartered under the laws of the State of Kansas, the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) annouonced last week. Read more

Kansas Credit Unions in Washington DC for 2011 CUNA GAC 

This week, representatives from the Kansas credit union industry are attending the 2011 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington DC. They will hear from numerous policymakers, including U.S. Speaker of the House Rep. John Boehner and Rep. Spencer Bacchus, Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, as well as meet with members of the Kansas Congressional Delegation about a number of prominent credit union issues. Read more

FinCEN Advisory Targets SARs on Financial Exploitation of an Elder 

The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network has noted an "upward trend" of financial institutions filing SARs to report suspected financial exploitation of elderly members or customers, a trend that is consistent with increased attention on the state level as well.  Read more
