Greetings!

We received notice that Weller is recalling all W100PG irons manufactured between August 1, 2006 and May 12, 2010. The power cord may break at the flex point where it is inserted into the handle.

All units outside these dates are not affected.
(August 1, 2006 and May 12, 2010)

Please check the date code, which appears on the heating element and is shown as MONTH YEAR (eg. Jun08). To access the date code, make sure the iron is unplugged and cool, then remove the flanged barrel that is secured to the handle by screws.

Please call 1-800-476-3030, ext. 1 from 8-5 ET Monday through Friday to initiate the product replacement process.
If you want to have your Weller checked here at the shop please bring it by.  We will also be shipping our recall affected irons out on Friday July 30th, if you want to add yours to our shipment.
