CHADD is offering prescription help!
Do you have prescriptions that are not covered by insurance? Are you uninsured? If you can answer yes to either of these questions you might want to check out this link to the CHADD website to get a CHADD discount prescription card.
UNA is a company who offers up to 75% off prescriptions to non-profit organizations. You do not have to be a CHADD member to get these benefits.
What it is, is a discount card that you can use at many local pharmacies. The site offers a link to find local pharmacy's that will except the discount card and a link to compare prices on your drugs from pharmacy to pharmacy.
Take a moment and click on the above link to get your own discount card and further information.

What if you looked at your life as an experiment?
In the past month I read or heard someone say "What if you looked at your life as an experiment?"
My mind first went as a parent and said well then ADDer's would try different risky behaviors with the thought that "what the heck" it is an experiment.
Then I looked at it from a different perspective. If my life is an experiment then if I try something and it does not work the way I thought it would that's okay I will just try again or try something else. I saw this as a way that some of my clients might be able to get past the procrastination. It might give them permission to let themselves start something they wouldn't start unless they could get it right.
Thinking of it as an experiment might let me get past any self judgement. A young reporter who boldly asked Mr. Edison if he felt like a failure and if he thought he should just give up by now. Perplexed, Edison replied, "Young man, why would I feel like a failure? And why would I ever give up? I now know definitively over 9,000 ways that an electric light bulb will not work. Success is almost in my grasp." And shortly after that, and over 10,000 attempts, Edison invented the light bulb*. *from ask Yahoo
Resilience is one of the attributes of ADHD so try thinking of your life as an experiment and allow yourself to get started, to try something new, try something in a different way, and don't let what seems like a failure stop you. Your light bulb or Dyson vacuum cleaner could be around the next corner.

| 9 ways to find support for your ADD? |
|
|
- Find a local support group
- Find a local CHADD group
- Educate your self about your ADD
- Educate the people around you about ADHD
- Find a coach
- Get a formal evaluation and diagnosis
- Ask for what you need to succeed
- Teach people how to treat you
- Check out websites, magazines and blogs (my website has a resource section to help with this www.d5coaching.com )
I run 2 support groups and new members tell me over and over again that the group gives me energy, information, connection and the comfort of knowing that I am not alone. Another place I hear that same kind of statement is at the ADDA conferences.

Sauna
Do you have access to a sauna? There are many benefits to using a sauna 2 or 3 times a week. Among them lower blood pressure, burns up to 700 calories, and it gets rid of toxins in your body.
Now that is my idea of passive exercise!
The new infra red sauna's are not as hard on your lungs as the traditional steam sauna's.
