NORTH GWINNETT SCHOOLS FOUNDATION
The North Gwinnett Schools Foundation Nominating Committee will be seeking applicants for the Board of Trustees. The Board will serve from March 2011-March 2012.

GIRLS ON THE RUN IS COMING TO SUWANEE ELEMENTARY!
Girls on the Run is a program that educates and prepares girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The program consists of training for a 5K race while incorporating character building and self esteem enhancing activities. Participants gain a better understanding of how to make healthy decisions, resolve conflict, maintain a positive attitude, and build strong and supportive relationships. The Girls on the Run program takes place over 12 weeks and consists of groups of 8-15 girls in grades 3-5. The girls meet twice a week for 90 minutes after school. The Suwanee Elementary team will meet on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:00-4:30pm. Registration is limited to the first 15 girls who sign up. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on January 24th. Don't forget to help turn your Trash into Cash. We just received a check from BoxTops for Education for over $1400 - that's a lot of money for some labels you would have ordinarily thrown away. Our current promotion to determine which teacher(s) will be rolled at the Jaguar Jive continues into February so continue to cut labels and send them in. Remember: if your child wants a chance to earn a roll of toilet paper to help decorate a teacher you need to send in your unexpired labels in groups of 25 (or more) and note your child's name, grade, and teacher on the envelope or zip lock bag.

The PTA will receive a % back of the entire day's sales from Suwanee supporters at the Chick-fil-A at Moore Road/Peachtree Industrial Blvd. In order for the PTA to receive credit for the sale, please make sure you mention you are supporting Suwanee Elementary when you order inside or at the drive-thru for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks (they no longer collect receipts.) Thanks for your support of all of our business partners this year!

Suwanee Elementary Night at the Gwinnett Gladiators Saturday, February 5th. The puck drops at 7:05pm. Tickets are just $15, ordering information will be coming home soon!
