School is closed Friday, January 14, 2011
While road conditions have improved during the day, there are still concerns about the streets in many neighborhoods throughout the county. Gwinnett County is a very large county and while some areas may have cleared, others still pose a hazard in terms of safely transporting students. In addition, school campuses are still experiencing icy conditions in parking lots, on sidewalks, and on trailer ramps. As a result, Gwinnett County Public Schools will be closed on Friday, January 14, 2011. Please note that in the event of a school cancellation all afternoon and evening activities are cancelled, as well.
Reminder: Monday school is closed for the Martin Luther King Holiday
Just a reminder, schools will be closed on Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday.
Snow days will be made up
Just a reminder, all snow days will be made up according to the GCPS student calendar.
The first day will be made up on February 21st.
The second day will be made up on March 14th.
The third day will be made up on May 26th.
At this time we do not know when the 4th and 5th days will be made up. Once we receive a revised student calendar from the county, we will send it out to our families. |
