SUWANEE SCIENCE FAIR INFORMATION
 Suwanee Elementary is excited to host our sixth annual Science Fair on Thursday, March 17, 2011. Our objective is to involve students, kindergarten through fifth grade, in exploring the scientific method through hands-on discovery. If you are interested in your child participating in the Science Fair, please complete the attached form to indicate your intent to participate in the Science Fair. Once your intent to participate is returned to your child's teacher, you will receive an information packet. Thank you for showing interest in this educational endeavor.

Suwanee Kids In Action . . . .
Congratulations to Turner M., Tanner M., and Owen M., who participated in the IronKids Triathlon held in
Alpharetta, Ga., on September 12, 2010. Over 1300 kids competed in this event. Way to go students!

 Curriculum & Instruction from our Assistant Principal
We are pleased to announce that many of our OI Special Education Students are participating in a Special Olympics event this week. They are playing in a Bocce Ball tournament at Bunten Road Park in Duluth. We know that they will represent Suwanee ES with pride.

Order your yearbook now before the price increase takes effect on October 1st. Visit www.suwaneepta.org and click on the "Membership, Yearbook & 5th Grade Fee" form, print, fill-out and send into the school addressed to "Yearbook Committee."
Reflections entries are due by October 18th, visit www.suwaneepta.org for the entry form & rules.
Jaguar Jamboree! Please mark your calendars to join us on Friday, October 15th from 5:30-8:30pm. We will have games, activities, prizes, food, jumpies and The Variety Show at Center Stage! Order forms will be coming home on October 1st with more information.
Does your child like to perform? Maybe sing, dance, or have a comedy act? They will have the chance to shine because The Variety Show at Center Stage is back! Look for a flyer to come home with sign up information to perform at the Jaguar Jamboree.
Please continue sending in those Boosterthon Fun Run pledges that arrived late. You may use a regular envelope to send in pledges- just be sure to label it with your child's name, teacher & grade level.  Earning for Learning Update: the Girls have taken a slight lead over the Boys with our BoxTops, Tyson's, and Campbell's label collection promotion. Please continue to send in labels through October 8th.
