Suwanee Elementary Parents,
Today marks the beginning of the nomination process for parents who are interested in serving on the Suwanee Local School Council as a parent representative. We currently have one parent representative opening on the Suwanee Local School Council. School Council membership consists of the principal, two certified teachers, four elected parents (two of the parents must be businesspersons), and the PTA president(s). Our School Council work promises to be informative as we review the progress of our school throughout the year.
Parents of current kindergarten through fourth grade students are eligible for nomination. School Council members serve two-year terms and must be willing to attend four to six meetings during the school year.
You may nominate yourself, your spouse, or another parent by completing the nomination form by clicking THIS LINK. The deadline for turning in nomination forms to the Suwanee main office is Monday, August 30, 2010.
Nominated parents will be listed in the main office as they are received. The election for parent representatives will occur at the main office on Thursday, September 2, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. To vote, you must be the parent/guardian of a current kindergarten through fourth grade student.
