Dear Suwanee Parents,
Today marks the beginning of the last nine weeks of the school year. Report cards will go home on Friday, March 19. If you have not signed up to access the parent portal, you may contact Barbara Coker or Christine Boomershine in the front office. The parent portal gives you updates on grades, discipline and attendance.
Upcoming Testing CRCT:
* Grades 1 and 2: April 14, 15, and 16
* Grades 3-5: April 19-23
We need your children to have a good night's sleep, to eat breakfast and to be here on time. Research shows that children who take their test with their peers outperform students who take their tests in a makeup session. Remember that CRCT on-line is available, and you can access that from our school website. This is GREAT at-home practice. Many thanks to our technology team, Kimberly Singleton and Michael Robbins, for making this available.

CRCT testing begins on April 14th for Grades 1 and 2; and April 19th for Grades 3, 4, and 5. Every morning, our students have been listening to a CRCT Prep series starring "Bud and Dud". This series stresses positive test taking strategies. This week students have learned the following strategies:
- Be Positive
- Have a Plan
- Do your CRCT Homework
- Do your best on CRCT Practice Tests
- Sleep Right
- Eat Right
We are confident that teaching students positive test taking strategies will both reduce test anxiety and foster positive results. |
