 Suwanee Elementary School is approaching the testing time of the school calendar. Just as a reminder, Grades 1 and 2 will take the CRCT on April 14th, 15th and 16th. CRCT administration in Grades 1 and 2 include Reading, Language Arts and Math. These tests allow us to track student progress and performance.
Grades 3, 4 and 5 will take the CRCT on April,19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd. CRCT subtests in Grades 3, 4 and 5 include Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies.
Our goal is to help students prepare for testing in a supportive manner. We also want to reduce student anxiety. Therefore, teachers will begin having Test Talks with students to help them with goal setting. In addition, we begin the "Bud and Dud" series this week to help students learn testing tips and strategies. "Bud and Dud" is a DVD series of test strategies presented in a "kid friendly" format. In addition, please communicate your confidence to your children at home. We know that they will do great!
We will be including more information on testing as our testing window approaches. |
