Dear Suwanee Families,

 

I would like to extend my congratulations to Shruthi Santhanam, a fourth grader in Mr. Davis' class, for winning the 2010 GCPS Spelling Bee! Shruthi worked tirelessly to prepare for the Spelling Bee, studying up to two hours each day. Shruthi is a great example of demonstrating perseverance to meet a goal. Shruthi and 12 other top spellers will represent GCPS in the District 3 Bee. Out of the 88 contestants, Level Creek Elementary and North Gwinnett Middle School students finished in the top 12. That means the North Gwinnett Cluster will have three student representatives out of the twelve in the district competition, GO DAWGS!!! The District 3 Bee takes place at 10:00 a.m. on February 27, 2010, inside the North Gwinnett High theatre. Please join us in supporting Shruthi and the North Gwinnett Cluster!

 

This week we will host our second round of Early Release/Conference Days on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 3rd and 4th. Please make sure you have a conference date scheduled with your child's teacher. We need to make time to maintain our close home-to-school relationship.

Suwanee ES and the North Gwinnett Cluster are scheduled to go live with the Parent Portal on February 26th. If you have not registered for your parent portal token, please contact Barbara Coker in the front office (770) 945-5763.
