 Curriculum & Instruction from the Assistant Principals

Our second graders are beginning their Math Units on fractions. They are working hard at understanding the concepts of equal and not equal, using manipulatives, individual work on white boards and comparison and contrast. They are also learning to use fractions to represent parts of a whole. Using pictures and models, they are identifying and relating fractions with an emphasis on halves and fourths. |
