Dear Suwanee Families,

 

We are in our last week of the 2008-2009 school year. The last few months have been filled with lots of wonderful events, the Fairy Tale Ball, our Kindergarten performance, the Walk-A-Thon and Field Day. Field Day was a great success due to the leadership of Mr. Hays and Mr. Gogolinski. The students had great fun, and I must admit that I had fun, too. The 5th Grade Ceremony on Friday was fantastic! I would like to thank the 5th grade parents and students for the stone bench that they presented to me and the school during the ceremony.  It will be a lasting tribute to their years here at Suwanee.
 
Many of you have had questions about CRCT scores; we anticipate an electronic summary of student scores to arrive on campus this week. We will review these reports to determine the students in need of summer retakes. The student reports for parents are expected to arrive in July and will be disseminated in the fall for the North Gwinnett Cluster Schools. Upon receipt of the electronic student scores in May, the school will contact you if your child did not pass any section of the CRCT.
 
The 2009-2010 registration packets will be mailed to parents in July. Our annual Kindergarten parent meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 6:00 pm. Open house will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2009.
