Thank you for your prayers, your gifts, and your labors of love this summer as we partner together to reach women in unplanned pregnancies across Central Indiana with the love of Jesus Christ.

Our nine centers have been very busy this summer, with over 4,628 women and their families served so far this year. These clients have received more than 12,385 free services (pregnancy tests, ultrasound exams, peer counseling, 24-hour Help Line calls, maternity support, post-abortion healing groups, gospel outreach and discipleship).

We are thrilled to share that over 157 babies have been saved so far this year - children like the one mentioned in the story below, as recently shared by our West Pregnancy Center director Machelle Montgomery. Additionally, 419 people have received the good news of Jesus Christ in 2011!

This life-saving ministry could not be possible without the energy and enthusiasm of people like you who help provide the resources for this outreach. Hundreds of volunteers are already preparing for the Walk + Run for Life on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Lebanon Memorial Park and Sunday, Sept. 25, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

"A gentleman with an accent recently called asking about abortion procedures. He said he and his wife could not have a child at this time since they were both in school, and it just would not work for them now. I responded to him, 'Why don't you come in the center, and we will talk about her options.' He agreed to an appointment.

"I met with the woman first in the counseling room and we talked about abortion procedures and fetal development. I could see in her eyes she did not want to abort. While keeping her head down, she told me the two of them had no money and already had a 5-year-old little boy. She and her husband stated they were Catholic.

"After she took a pregnancy test that showed positive, I asked the client, 'Can I bring your husband back?' She agreed. The husband again told me, 'We cannot have another baby at this time. We are going to wait for two more years when we get out of school.'

"I shared with him that I believed the Lord brought them in to hear the truth of His word, because He loves them and the baby that He created. I told them that this pregnancy may not be in their timing, but I am sure Mary and Joseph didn't like the timing of God either. God does not make mistakes.

"When they returned a week later for an ultrasound appointment, the couple beamed as they said they had decided to carry the baby. They both hugged and thanked us for being there for them. To God be the glory!"
