We give glory to God for a wonderful Celebration of Life Banquet last Friday evening!
Over 1,000 gathered at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis to honor the Lord Jesus Christ through fellowship, worship, and celebration.
As dinner began, we celebrated what God is doing locall
y and abroad to protect life and spread the Gospel through ministry friends. We prayed over pregnancy center ministry partners Mission to Ukraine, and our friends at the Indiana Right to Life announced the historic passage of legislation that will result in restrictions on abortion in Indiana. We rejoiced over answered prayers!
The Grace Community Church GraceMain Worship Choir brought the spirit of rejoicing to life through music, and a hush fell over the crowd as Larnelle Harris began with the song, "The Greatest of These." This musical rendition of 1 Corinthians 13 set the tone for the evening.
With the theme for the night from Ephesians 2:10, I shared that the "work" we are called to do is to love God and to love people -especially the unborn child.
Board Chairman Dennis Dawes then gave an update on the ministry's impact over the last year and our current needs and goals.
To illustrate this impact, our clients April, Marquesha, and Korpo Joanna shared their testimonies of God's saving grace in their lives. After the
se amazing stories, Larnelle Harris's song, "Were It Not for Grace," reminded us of the centrality of the Gospel in this ministry and in all of our lives.
Janet Parshall continued the celebration with reports of victories for life from across the nation. She shared her personal testimony and relayed stories of others who have committed to laboring for the cause of life. The statistics, stories and scripture she shared with great conviction inspired us to continue in our calling, through the victory that is ours in Christ Jesus.
Your prayers, service and financial gifts made this fund-raising event possible. We praise God for the over $268,000 raised so far and for the new partnerships that have been formed as a result of this gathering.
Now, as we look toward Mother's Day on Sunday, we can also celebrate the "choice for life" that our mothers have made. On this special day, please pray for all of the moms in Central Indiana who have chosen life at Life Centers, and join us in asking a blessing upon their lives and the lives of their children.
