Below is a story that inspired me recently, and one I hope will encourage you. Marquesha chose life for her baby a few weeks ago and chose life in Christ at Life Centers, all because of Christ's compassion demonstrated through people like you. Not only was her child saved from abortion, but Marquesha's life will never be the same!

An Outpouring of Love

Recently Life Centers volunteers and a local church demonstrated Christ's love in extraordinary measure by reaching out to a young mom at her time of crisis, and it completely changed her life.

Marquesha, a 21-year-old single mother of two, whose own mother is a drug addict and whose father recently passed away, had just been evicted from an apartment where mold was growing on the floor and lead covered the walls when she found out she was pregnant again.

Marquesha called Life Centers and said there was no way that she could have the child; she intended to have an abortion.

Lucy Urban, director at the Life Centers Northwest Women's Center, counseled her and shared God's love for her. She scheduled an appointment at the East Pregnancy Center, where Marquesha met a caring woman named Patti.

"Before I went into the pregnancy center, I was going to lose my mind. I was living out of my car, had two kids, no money, and I was going to local stores to bathe," Marquesha said. "But the day I walked into the center, my peer counselor, Patti, helped me realize. . .that lives were important to God."
