Greetings!
This week a young woman named Monika stopped in to pick up a swing and playpen for her new baby that was donated by a supporter whom she may never see in person.
She told me, "Thank you, so much, for what you do. It has made a big difference to me - and I want to do whatever I can to help and to thank you."
Monika will be joining us at the Walk + Run for Life. And, we are encouraged that hundreds of supporters have already signed up to hear stories like hers in addition to doing a 1-mile walk or 5K run. . .for life!
Do you know what a difference you are making by either praying, walking, running, or giving financially for this event? This fund-raiser is a big part of our efforts each year to help women in unplanned pregnancies, and the results are meaningful: So far this year 222 babies have been saved from abortion and 479 lives have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ.
We've talked with pastors and church leaders who are excited about worshipping the Lord and acknowledging that all Creation is His at this event. Many are already encouraging their congregations to travel together to the Sunday afternoon/evening event. As the body of Christ, we will celebrate lives saved from abortion and souls won for His Kingdom in our community.

Grace Atherton, currently the 5th place fund-raiser with $1,200, is a first-time participant in the Walk + Run for Life.
She heard about the event from a friend at church, and she shares with us why she's passionate:
"I had an aunt who had an abortion while she was in nursing school, and she had my same name, Grace Elizabeth. I saw that she regretted her decision and wasn't able to have kids after that. I want to do something to counteract abortion.
"My mom used to volunteer at a pregnancy center when my older siblings were little. So when I heard about the event from a friend at church, I thought it would be so much fun. It thought that it's not going to take a lot of time and it's something (running) that I would be doing anyway. I'm really excited!
Grace on her fund-raising efforts:
"You set a goal and you think, 'Will anybody donate?' I have some great friends, and I've been excited to see who has donated on my page.
"I'm so thankful for what Life Centers is doing. We would do everything we can to help out. What Life Centers does really matters."

The Right Place
 "A few weeks ago, I was volunteering at the Avon Pregnancy Center when a client came in with a friend for one of our free pregnancy tests. One of the first things they told me was that they had gone to Planned Parenthood in Avon. When they got there a woman asked if they were there for a pregnancy test. When the client told her they were there to find out if she was pregnant, this woman immediately told her they should come to Life Centers in Avon. She gave them directions and they came to our center instead.
Needless to say I was stunned and thrilled. Realizing this was definitely a God moment, I asked if I could pray with them, and we prayed for that woman and asked for God's blessings on her for pointing these young people to the best place for them to receive godly help and encouragement. The client then asked for recommendations for a church as she recently moved here and hadn't found a church yet. She had definitely come to the right place!"
