Prayer Saturday

Join us for a prayer walk this Saturday as we intercede for unborn lives in front of Planned Parenthood and pray in our Northwest Women's Center. Meet us at 8650 Commerce Park Plaza, Suite N at 9:15am as we call out to God on behalf of the moms and their babies coming to our centers this month.
Greetings!

What does lemonade have to do with saving lives?

I recently heard about a family who picked up two "Bottles for Babies" at their church.  The boys in the family are participating in the national "Lemonade Day" on May 2 (yes, a lemonade stand in the neighborhood) as a way to learn how to create and run their own business.  The parents are teaching their boys the importance of tithing off their profits and the concept of giving to others.  So, when the parents gave their little lemonade stand entrepreneurs the choice of where to donate, the boys didn't hesitate in saying, "We want to put our money in the bottles for the babies!"

What difference can a little money from a little lemonade stand from little boys make?

Reminds me of the time when Jesus was faced with the challenge of feeding a hungry crowd of 5,000.  What did He do?  He asked the disciples what they had to give.  They searched the crowd and said, "Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?" (John 6:9)

The boy gave his little fish and bread snack to Jesus. The Lord blessed the boy's little snack and multiplied it into such a feast that not only were the 5,000 fed, but there were also twelve basketfuls of leftovers!

So, what does lemonade have to do with saving lives?

God wants us to give what we have (not what we don't have) and give it to Him so that He can bless it and multiply it for the saving of thousands of lives.  I wonder how many thousands of lives could be saved if you and I would set up "Lemonade for Life" stands in our neighborhoods and donate the proceeds to saving lives and souls?

Better yet, here's the miracle opportunity and invitation:  Why not look in your wallet or purse or checking account, see what you have (not what you don't have), and give a gift to Life Centers today as way of multiplying the gifts that those two boys will be giving from their lemonade stand (you can send a check, go online and give, or hit the "donate now" button).

Then, once you've given from what you have (not from what you don't have) forward this email to your youth group, Sunday School class, small group, pastor, friends, family, co-workers, neighbors... and let's see what the Lord can do by blessing and multiplying a little money from a little lemonade stand from a couple of little boys.

Please email me and let me know if you are giving in response to this "Lemonade for Life" challenge, and then I'll let this family and these two boys know how the Lord has taken what they have given from what they have (not from what they don't have) and blessed it and multiplied it for the saving of thousands of lives!

I think that loaves of bread and fish and cash and checks and coins and "Bottles for Babies" and... lemonade have a lot to do with saving lives, don't you?
