A Father's Perspective on Life vs. Abortion: Shaun's Story
"When Saba, my girlfriend, found out she was pregnant, I was shocked. We had been broken up. I didn't believe in abortion, but since we weren't together, we wondered if we should be having a kid together. I got information on abortion from Planned Parenthood.
"Saba asked me at that time to go with her to see Noanie at the South Pregnancy Center. Then we went to see the ultrasound. The baby was just six weeks old. When the ultrasound professional showed me the heartbeat, I knew I couldn't go through with the abortion. I can't believe we ever even contemplated going through something like that. I'm glad we didn't make that mistake.
"I asked Saba to marry me, and at seven months of pregnancy we got married. We're a happy family. We're blessed - Matios is a very happy baby. He doesn't cry much. We are happy if we can be spokespersons and talk to others who are considering abortion to stop them from making that decision. I love my wife and son with all my heart, and they are the greatest things that ever happened to me. Matios is the apple of everybody's eye."
