Photos from June 18th

These photos are from the visit to the King City Migrant CDC. (Center) Conference attendees took notes and made sketches of the many classroom displays. (Right) The outdoor areas of King City Migrant were especially engaging.
These photos are from the visit to Alegria Migrant Head Start. (Center) Staff members and school director Fanny Chavez greeted the visitors and were ready to answer questions. (Right) The outside areas of the school included several stimulating learning contexts.

The culminating activity of the conference on the last evening was the large bonfire on Asilomar grounds. (Left) Elena Giacopini learned the correct technique for making s'mores. (Center) Anna Orlandini (L) accepts a gift of a beautiful charcoal drawing, which was made by this conference participant in one of the atelier sessions using a piece of charcoal found on the Asilomar grounds. (Right) In the far left of this photo, another participant performs a song on her ukelele that she wrote during one of the atelier sessions.
