"Building Learning Through Documentation and Community"
Miami, Florida
February 26-27, 2011
There was a great response to the Second NAREA Winter Conference hosted by L'Atelier School in Miami, Florida. There were 199 attendees coming from 19 U.S. states in addition to attendees from Canada, Mexico, Guatamala, and Colombia! The Winter Conference was an enlightening and stimulating experience to the many teachers, directors, teacher educators and other interested people involved in studying the Reggio Emilia philosophy of education. The conference included presentations by Amelia Gambetti, Lella Gandini, L'Atelier educators from Florida, and Project Infinity educators from Georgia and South Carolina. Together they presented "Building Learning Through Documentation and Community" and hosted a panel for dialogue and reflections from participants of the conference. There was a visit and reception at L'Atelier School on Saturday evening. The photos below feature the conference, held at the beautiful Mandelstam Theatre in South Miami. The April eNewsletter will feature photos taken at the tour of school and reception hosted by L'Atelier School.
The day began with registration and a light breakfast served outside of the Mandelstam Theatre.
