Greetings!
As you can see from our calendar, there are many professional development opportunities and Reggio-related events in the remaining months of 2010 and into the spring of 2011:
The 2010 NAEYC Conference takes place in Anaheim, California from November 3 - 6. Fundamental workshops are being planned and are posted on our website as they are submitted. Study groups are being formed to visit Reggio Emilia, Italy. The Seventh NAREA Summer Conference will take place in Pacific Grove, CA from June 16-18, 2011.
We hope you will be able to participate in one or many of the above events. Best wishes for beautiful fall weather in the remaining days of October.

The NAREA Annual Drawing for a Free Study Tour to Reggio Emilia has taken place! Every year since 2003, NAREA has held a drawing including all current members for a free study tour to Reggio Emilia. There have been seven winners to date--Leonor Lundholm from Tucson, AZ in 2009, Nancy Fincke from Lincoln, MA in 2008, Jill Hagan Smith from Greenfield, WI in 2007, Jessica Allen from Chillocothe, OH in 2006, Sharon Libby from Bowling Green, OH in 2005, Alexandra Pafilis from Chicago, IL in 2004, and Janet Reinertson from Atlanta, GA in 2003. The 2010 winner will be announced at the NAEYC Annual Conference in Anaheim, CA during the NAREA Pre-Conference Session on November 3rd from 1-4 pm!

U.S. Students and Professors Study Group
March 12-17, 2011
This study group is designed specifically for U.S. college and university professors and their undergraduate or graduate students. The program will include:
- visits to the Preschools and Infant-toddler Centers of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia
- presentation and analysis of projects realized inside the Preschools and Infant-toddler Centers
- time at the International Center Loris Malaguzzi to see the exhibitions, the Ateliers, the bookshop and the Documentation and Research Center
- dialogue and exchange among students and professors to share information about their own context and coursework at U.S. colleges and universities
