2011 Chamber President - Shelly Leverenz

Dear Chamber Members,Shelly Leverenz

Interested in helping out?

Whether you have lots of time or only a couple hours, the time our volunteers so generously make available is the reason our Chamber is able to actively focus on our program of work set by your Board of Directors.

Committee work is the force behind the Chamber's pursuit of its mission. Some current committee examples are: Community Development-Business Seminars, New Look Awards; Ambassadors - business after hours, welcoming new business, etc.; Planning - special events i.e. annual dinner and auction, home expo, golf outing; and Community Marketing - i.e. tourism efforts, painted chair auction, Christmas parade, cooperative advertising, Chocolate Museum and more.

Our September 20 golf outing is the most current event on our calendars so if you have a day or a couple hours to share in the September sunshine, give us a call.

If one or more of our events or programs falls in your area of interest, please do not hesitate to call the Chamber or one of your board members for more information about the purpose of the committee/event and participation. Any board member or staff -Jackie Mangelsdorf, Lori Stonestreet, Kim Rusk or Jan Ludtke -will be happy to direct you to the appropriate person.

Our membership and your efforts continue to be a reflection of Burlington's strong values and standards. We're reminded daily of our rich heritage, and we can boast of living in a community where people give because it is the accepted thing to do, not the expected thing to do.

I encourage every member to share their wisdom and their experiences as a volunteer in events, committees, or by being a people resource for the Chamber.

Annual Dinner Donations

Burlington Dental Health Care Donation
Although the leaves have not yet started to fall, the Chamber is already thinking about winter and the Annual Dinner and Auction!!

You should have recently received a donation request letter from the Chamber for our Annual Dinner. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and every year its success depends on our very generous Chamber members and the community.

Please consider making a donation to the Chamber's Annual Dinner, if you need ideas or suggestions please contact us at 262-763-6044. Additionally, the earlier we receive your donation, the earlier we can begin to promote it!
